U-Boot Customizations for Linux Microcomputer Boards

U-Boot Customizations for Linux Microcomputer Boards

BeagleBoard_xM Rebuild U-Boot, with patches, to achieve settings in BeagleBoard_xM-env.txt1
BeagleBone Rebuild U-Boot, with patches, to achieve settings in BeagleBone-env.txt1
GadgetPC Use factory U-boot image, with settings in GadgetPC-env.txt
SAM9_L9260 Use factory U-boot image, with settings in SAM9_L9260-env.txt

NOTES:

1. Neither the BeagleBoard_xM nor the BeagleBone have any flash, so U-Boot environment variables are initialized from the compiled-in default values every time the board boots. Environment variables can be changed from the command line or from a boot script, but the changes cannot be saved. For this reason, we patch the U-Boot sources to change the default environment variable settings and rebuild the U-Boot image u-boot.bin.
